French, German and UK Foreign Ministers and the EU High Representative have issued a statement after an announcements that Iran is restarting uranium enrichment activities.

UK in Strasbourg

The European Court of Human Rights delivered its verdict in JD and A v United Kingdom (nos. 32949/17 and 34614/17) on the compatibility of the UK’s Bedroom Tax scheme with the prohibition on discrimination set out in Article 14 of the European Convention on Human Rights. The Strasbourg Court held that the policy discriminated unlawfully against women at risk of domestic violence. The UK Human Rights Blog has more.

UK’s post- Brexit relationship with the EU

  1. Brussels has begun legal proceedings against the UK after the Government failed to nominate a new EU Commissioner.
  2. David Gauke, the former justice secretary, has warned that a Conservative victory in the upcoming general election would put the UK on course for a no-deal Brexit at the end of 2020.
  3. Outgoing European Council President Donald Tusk has urged British voters not to “give up” on stopping Brexit.
