Julian Assange is showing all the symptoms associated with prolonged exposure to psychological torture and should not be extradited to the US, according to a senior UN expert who visited him in prison.

UN reveals 2018/19 Global Britain Scorecard which uses impartial sources to examine the UK’s performance in the months and years running up to September 2018 across a sample of policy areas which contain opportunities for stronger UK action.

 

UK’s post-Brexit relationship with the EU

Matt Hancock becomes latest Tory MP to announce he is running to succeed Theresa May, while Amber Rudd rules herself out of Tory leadership race and hints she could support Boris Johnson. Kit Malthouse – he of Malthouse Compromise fame –  tosses his hat into the ring via the pages of The Sun this morning, following hard on the heels of Sajid Javid, who confirmed his candidacy yesterday.

Boris Johnson says Brexit will happen on 31 October ‘deal or no deal’ if he becomes PM

Jeremy Corbyn has said a second referendum is “some way off” and that Labour still wants to negotiate a better Brexit deal, resisting pressure from shadow cabinet ministers to commit to campaigning immediately for a public vote.

The Legal Support Service provide research and paralegal support to Matrix members – whether by finding legal information (cases, legislation, articles, reports etc), producing bundles of authorities for court, or carrying out more substantial research. They also collate daily current awareness bulletins, covering Matrix’s major areas of practice, manage our intranet and extranets and administer the freelance research panel.
